Each term, International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) provide an in-depth International Student Orientation program to international students who are just beginning their studies at Portland State.Ìý
The program includes presentations on F-1 and J-1 immigration regulations, cultural adjustment, resources both on and off campus, and practical information on topics such as paying fees.Ìý International students are expected to register for courses prior to our international student orientation.
As an international studentÌýwith an F-1 or J-1 visa, immigration regulations allow you to arrive no more than 30 days before the start date listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.
