Biography:ÌýI grew up in Portland and Houston so every once in a great while you will hear me say "ya'll". As a first-gen college student, I know how challenging it can be to navigate higher education. It is one of the main reasons I continue to work in programs that support underrepresented students for the past 25 years.Ìý

Biography: I was born in Los Angeles, California. However, I grew up in NE Portland, Oregon. As a first generation student/college graduate, I understand the challenges that students face as they are entering and navigating the university. Because of this, I know of the importance that mentors and advisors have on the educational experience. I was inspired by folks in the Multi-retention Student Services and TRIO Student Support Services to commit and support students who are pursuing higher education.Ìý
