PSU's elementary education science minor provides aspiring elementary school teachers with a background in the sciences, making them more competitive in the Graduate Teacher Education Program and marketable in teacher placement.
In addition to a core set of courses, you'll choose two classes from a concentration in biology, chemistry, geology, physics, geography, or anthropology.
The minor in elementary education science prepares you to enter a graduate teacher education program and be licensed in Elementary Multiple Subjects. While the minor is not a requirement for admission to the PSU Graduate Teacher Education Program (GTEP), it does include all the prerequisites for admission to the program.
