Calculating the cost of college depends on how many credits you take and where you live. PSU's Paying for College page breaks down tuition, fees, other costs and links to financial aid. PSU's Cost of Attendence Estimator might be helpful in estimating costs specific to your situation. It is important to know that a $35 fee is charged for each credit of online courses. Please include this in you calculation. Online fees pay for maintenance of the online courses, both technologically and instructionally. Students can apply for scholarships beginning in October of each year for opportunities announced in summer. Students interested in a career in public or tribal child welfare are encouraged to apply to the Child Welfare Education Program for tuition assistance. Information and resources specific to veterans and their families is outlined at PSU Veteran Services.
Washington State Residents of the following counties – Asotin, Benton, Clark, Columbia, Cowlitz, Garfield, Klickitat, Pacific, Skamania, Wahkiakum, Walla Walla – may be eligible for in-state tuition rates and are encouraged to review the Washington Border Policy. PSU also participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange which could mean reduced out of state tuition.
