SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER LICENSURE PROCESS FOR DEGREED PROFESSIONALS

The School of Social Work MSW Program provides a verification of equivalency (VOE) review service for professionals working as MSW's in schools or have previous social work experience working in schools.

Professionals must demonstrate how they meet the educational and work experience requirements of the SSWL program and submit a curated professional portfolio of social work standards met. These requirements are set by The Oregon Teachers Standards and Practice Commission (TSPC).

If you are interested in moving forward with a VOE review process, please submit your application packet through and follow the prompts. Ìý

The VOE portfolios are reviewed on the first of the month and may take up to 30-60 days to complete. ÌýIf you are seeking a letter of support to renew your restricted license, you must complete the VOE process as well.

If you currently hold a School Social Work License (or equivalent certification) from another state, you can apply for your Oregon license .
